Market Overview
In the first quarter of 2006, output value of integrated circuit testing declined 8.1 percent to NT$49 billion, while that of integrated circuit packaging grew 14.2 percent to NT$21.7 billion, the Industrial Economics & Knowledge Center (IEK) said. Consumer electronics and personal computer entered the dull season despite strong integrated circuit packaging in the last quarter of 2006. However, output value of integrated circuit testing was stronger in the first quarter of 2006 than in the last quarter of 2005.
