Taiwan’s stainless steel manufacturing industry is expected to see a modest rebound in sales value in the fourth quarter of 2026, with full-year sales value projected to grow 2.35% from 2025. Despite intense competition from China and Indonesia, expanding demand from electric vehicles and renewable energy, a higher share of niche products, and a rebound in average nickel prices are expected to support product prices and manufacturers’ operating performance. Accordingly, the industry is expected to experience a moderate recovery in 2026.
