ˇ@ The cumulative output and sales values of Taiwanˇ¦s toy manufacturing rose 5.61 percent and 7.73 percent year-on-year to NT$2.047 billion and NT$2.288 billion, respectively, during the first four months of 2010 as the industry gradually managed to weather the global financial meltdown and the broader economies improved in Taiwan and abroad. Demand for the industry will increase on a gradual turnaround in consumer confidence, and sales are expected to rise by 5-10 percent in the first half of 2010 from the same period a year earlier.
